farmer's market

Hey, I just want to let my market customers know that I will be taking things off Etsy Friday and bringing them to the market Saturday, Dec. 17.  And, prices will be a little lower on things at the market since I'm not absorbing selling fees, part of the shipping cost...etc.
No new pictures- I left my camera at the market yesterday.  If you are reading this and are not a visitor to River City Farmer's Market you may not know that we have use of a building for the market.  I have a booth there and it stays up when the market is closed the rest of the week.  No packing, unpacking, setting up, packing again, repeat.  Definitely a plus.
Had some pictures from my latest firing I wanted to share.  Hope that camera's where I think it is.

strange variety

Yesterday I looked at what I'd been making lately and thought what a strange little accumulation of forms this is.- Jars for holding large margarine tubs, small slab-built planters for succulents, and birdbaths.  Really no logical morphing from one shape to another going on here.  The jars and birdbaths are customer requests and the succulent planters are for me.
The birdbaths were a challenge.  Raising my wheel so I can stand and throw solved some back pain problems, but when I need to throw larger than usual amounts of clay it seems more difficult than when I was sitting.  I used to be able to lean into the clay, almost getting my shoulder behind my hands.  That's impossible with my wheel up higher, although I try by standing on tip toes.
